Neck stiffness - in children

Torticollis in children in Kuwait

Torticollis in infants and children means that the child’s head tilts to one side and has difficulty turning it to the other. This is often caused by tightness or shortening of the neck muscles (especially the sternocleidomastoid muscle), and parents may notice that the child always looks to one side or sleeps on the same side.

The important news: Early treatment gives excellent results and reduces the likelihood of the tilt continuing or flattening of the head occurring.

At Al-Kindy, we offer home Physiotherapy treatment for cervical stiffness in children in Kuwait with a safe plan appropriate to the child’s age, along with practical training for parents on simple daily exercises.
