Knee roughness
What is meant by knee roughness?
Knee osteoarthritis is a gradual erosion of the cartilage in the knee joint, and may be accompanied by mild inflammation, stiffness, and pain that increases with exertion. Over time, it may lead to muscle weakness and instability in the knee if it is not treated with a suitable rehabilitation plan.
When do you need physical therapy for knee osteoarthritis?
Pain when walking or standing for a period of time
Morning stiffness or stiffness after prolonged sitting
Difficulty going up/down stairs
Pain when sitting down and getting up from the chair
Mild swelling or a feeling of heat around the knee
Muscle weakness or joint instability
Important note: If the pain is very severe with obvious swelling, joint locking, or frequent falls due to the knee—a medical evaluation is recommended to determine the best treatment plan.
Goals of physiotherapy:
- Exercises to reduce pain and improve flexibility
- Gradual strengthening of the muscles supporting the knee
- Balance and stability training to improve walking
- Correcting posture during movement, standing, and sitting
- A simple and clear home exercise program to maintain between sessions
Why is home treatment beneficial for chronic conditions?
Because the real challenge is at home: the stairs, standing length, how you sit and stand, and moving between rooms. When we work inside the home, we can train you on the “correct movement” in the same place where the problem occurs daily, and modify your technique to reduce pressure on the knee.
- Complete comfort inside your home
- Faster results due to consistent commitment
- Privacy and comfortable environment
- Suitable for the elderly and those with acute injuries
- A service that reaches all areas quickly
